El 22 de enero de 1970 nace el pintor, ilustrador y coleccionista Nelson Alexander Ross en Portland, Oregón EUA.

Que diferencia hay entre la pintura y la fotografía??, en el caso de Álex es casi lo mismo, eso es hiperrealismo, por eso Superman parece atravesar tu alma con su mirada en Kingdome come.

Su madre fue diseñadora de modas y libros (la pintura esta mezclada en su sangre) empezó a dibujar a los 3 años inspirado por Spider-Man en TV, a los 20 años luego de la academia de arte empezó a ilustrar profesionalmente no solo cómic, publicidad, cubiertas de discos, vídeojuegos, el poster del “Academy Awards”, camisetas de protesta, de todo básicamente.

Es un conocido coleccionista de obras de arte, posters, libros muñecos … digo figuras de acción, comics, ya saben un fan cualquiera cómo nosotros, pero con dinero Nerds.

Su trabajo le ha merecido muchos premios, fue ganador 7 veces consecutivas de los premios CBG Fan por dibujante favorito, tuvieron que eliminar esa categoría, eso lo inmortalizó, pero si hay algo por lo que será recordado es por introducir el “Fotorrealismo” una técnica que llevo al cómic de “casi caricatura” a un espejo muy real del mundo que hay en la mente de los escritores.
