7 DAYS TO DIE GAME REVIEW of ALPHA 17.2

7 days to die has first been released on early access in Steam (PC only) since December 13, 2013. Then, the game was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June/July 2019 Version 1.18 ( alpha) by Telltale Publishing.

What is the game about? The Developers say “7 Days to Die thrusts players into the aftermath of the fall of civilization with only their wits and bare hands to survive. In this continually evolving title currently in alpha stage development, players must explore the open world alone or with friends to build tools, weapons, and shelter against the dangers of the reanimated dead, infected wildlife and the world itself.” So, if you like survival, open world and zombies type of games. Then this game is for you. I have played passed Alpha versions of the game and they continue to keep making the game better with each new update.

Recently The Fun Pimps (the game publisher for PC) spent about a year with updating 7DTD (7 days to die). Although it took so long, it was well worth the wait. The game looks soo much better! What took them so long? Well, they really wanted to improve the game as much as possible. They updated their game engine from Unity to Unity 2018.2, they fixed a lot of bugs and more. In my opinion, the changes are drastic but in a good way. I don’t know if you knew this, but there were a lot of different Mods out there that had their own versions of how they would like the game to be. Well, The Fun Pimps noticed and saw these Mods. Something tells me that they liked some because I saw some of those concepts applied to the Alpha 17.2.

If you don’t make any changes from its default, the game is harder then the previous versions. Because of that, I have to say, I love it! The game is more realistic and fun. One of the new things I like about the game is the fact that every house has access to it without breaking anything. To me, it’s like solving a maze because there is almost always an entrance to each floor and room. With that in mind, I would rate this updated game a 4 out of 5.
